好久没因为听到雪糕叔叔的铃声而跑到楼下去买来吃。真的不知道有多就没像小孩这样子了。好怀念哦。。买雪糕的叔叔人真好，他没零钱找我，便说改次在下来买时再还吧。。但我不好意思，坚持要还他钱，于是我还是跑了两趟。哈哈。

也许是他的商业手法吧，但他的举动却让我仿佛回到十多年前的感觉。而我执著地付钱也是因为我已不知我何时会再像小孩一样冲下楼买雪糕了。

只是想让你知道我也觉得非常幸福 =)

Finished harry a couple of days ago. thanks dear lending me the book 1st even tho u haven read=) It was certainly a gd book and the ending REALLY didn't suggest that there would be a 8th book(I was secretly hoping there would b). Sigh. Didn't realised that this entire harry potter saga has been ard for ten years(oh man) until I read william's blog.. n prob a few more years to come when the last 2 movies roll out, though I'm like half heartedly anticipating as most of the time the movie are definitely not doing justice to the book. Well we are grow up, and Harry and Friends have to grow up too i guess. Baaa. haha

One more week left! And 2 days are already taken up by FOW stuff! I wan to KBOX! I wan to go ZOO!*winks And mahjong(I'm not a du gui! yesterday's session was damn hilariuos again.) And ok i really shld go get a ippt date so that i can target myself to train. And this is the god-knows-how-many-day that is overcast n rainy the whole day. Come on, its not xmas yet leh...But I think we can count ourselves lucky if u turn on the news everyday. Everyday at least ten mins of it is dedicated to reports of floods, storms, droughts, forest fires, heat waves everywhere except singapore. haz.

The cold weather has been fuelling my laziness and of little help to my imminent ippt date. Arghz.

Yesterday's jap placement test.. was like Hur~Hur~ I din even need to fake anything.. cox i really dunno how to do.. 1st time writing jap like in 5 yrs. I forgot even how to write some of the hiragana, like how to curve here n there.. so duhz.. not to mention abt katana. But somehow i made sense of the reading comprehension and could answer most of the true n false qns. haha! And needless to say, i failed the paper horribly so chernyih n cheryl lets take jap lvl 1000 together =p haha opps van~ aiya zai就是different - quote xt. Haha.

For once i think yest's mahjong session was worth mentioning. Total Madness and Brutality. Blood was shed, Hearts stopped beating momentarily, say byebye to ernies but welcome all the big parangs and backlash! Of course the usual sarcasm still stands.. in addition was the disgusting high-fives when all the baos occured =p Think thruout 4 rds of game there were more 5,4 tais den 1,2 tais. And there was 3 or 4 baos in total. Haha exciting stuff man.

I hate my hair~ i Dunno wad went thru my mind when i said cut my fringe. Sian tiao.

okok i need to get back to doing my prog stuff den can read harry if not someone will kill me if i dun finish by this week =P

Last day of work! Somehow I think I will miss the place/job.. maybe for a tiny while la =p Haha. Met alot of ppl who might end up as my colleague or superiors in future, said hie to many weird drug names(they know me i dunno them), which jus made me have more questions abt the future. In a way such a exposure is definitely a gd experience i guess, and moreover its still too early to really decide on what i wan to do, so i still need to mug hard when sch reopens. bleahz...

Anyway it was gd breakaway from routine work over the wkend..n plus the fooling ard with the bunch of duguis who jus wanna go back to the villa n play mahjong =p Having ur own buggy to drive ard the resort is rather shiok~ i wanna drive one home liao la. And also realising my potential to be a dangerously safe 50+ yr old wanna-overtake uncle driver while driving the ATV(all terrian vehicle) and winning kenvin in the race ahah. And how can i not mention abt the buffets? Its like lunch dinner lunch consecutive buffets. U mus b thinking how shiok is tt rite?! 1st time i actually got rather sick with gd food. lol~ But bintan is jus too overpriced the only plus point it has is tt its jus located at the backyard of sgpore.. so damn near. I wan to go redang nxt time! cheaper, nicer beaches

I'm ending work this sat! YAY! ok i only have 2 weeks of hols left after this sat. excluding O week la. Cox O week is like wOrk wk. hahaHA. no la shld be fun =) I can't wait for nxt wk where i can stay at home n watch crunchy roll whole day or go swim or gym. Shucks man ippt. i need some to train with me. HAha. i wan to pass! or silver! got 100 or 200 bucks rite?

shyt i can smell sch starting already. filthy smell tt is. HAha. no la.. but the thot of 8am lectures every day other den weds, and ending my last paper on 5th dec. Sighz. Arghz. nvm there are other things to look forward to =)

I feel so suaku and un-hip. I didn't know where zouk is - the milk run starting point. all along I thot it was at mohammad sultan so i happily alighted there and realised its opp great world city. Asked some uncles and aunties ard the coffeeshops as i couldn't find any young chaps ard den they all dunno also(like duhz of cox they dun, i had to say things like, 'tt dancing place' but to no avail).. had to call shane to find out. Haha suagu me. ya wanted to go for the milk run thingy but den ya.. ahemz.. erm.. erm. we decided not to run but ended up mahjonging instead =X And i;ve been losing ever since kc came back i think. =X

Saw clive on fri! Yes Clive chen..My NP batch mate n my jc classmate. The last time i saw him was like 3.5 yrs ago. zai kia. graduated from john hopkins now on hols after tt going to do pHD le. OMG wad m I doing Now??! Yr 2 pharm?! how sad. And he still hates taking pictures. welcome william back too! Bumped into joan at bugis jxn today too.. Make sure u all all wear green on 77-cum-earth day and take lots of pics to make me green with envy.



Read van's blog n sort of realised the camp wasn't tt un-fun la. I did enjoy myself also.. cox the way i wrote my last blog entry like i v sian lydat. Du have the false impression k. Its jus a diff feeling one yr ago. Was browsing thru last yr's camp pics.. haha nostalgic sia.. n i also observed tt basically the same ppl came (as in those who camelast yr are all ogls/programmers/GMs this yr) Cox alot of them i nv knew they were here for camp back in 2006. haha. So who can send me this yr camp's pics?? I think i took v little pics this yr.. so sad.. too busy to pose for pics. lol!

GST hike is here. And i still din managed to get a monitor tho the one i'm using still flickers.. but managed to ordered my contacts b4 yest, made new specs, got a new bagpack, new berms. Ok i'm broke again. n more outings this wk! Bintan this fri!

Its finally over!! *relieved* Most of the time I'm like so busy that I didn't think i was enjoying or having fun. But i hope the freshies did have a good time. Tho there were some screwups but i guess the camp was successful one overall. running and planning a camp is certainly no easy feat for all of us, and i believed thru out the process, many of us have put in alot of effort and made alot of sacrifices. Clashes, unhappy issues sometimes are unavoidable, and somehow its abit regrettable how things turn out sometimes. But i certainly hope things will eventually turn out fine and that we're still be good friends and classmates.Sighz

It was encouraging =) I think overall is a pretty good experience to get involved. Got to know alot more ppl and how different ppl work.. sorts of bond ppl in a way i hope. Though there are ocassional periods when fatigue and sianness sets in and u really wonder why the hell did i get stuck with this shit. Haha. but come to think abt it, uni really shldn't jus b abt mugging tho i need not stress how impt it is in such a disgusingly competitive course =X Wads more is like the last chance u get to do this kind of things already.

The idea of ending my job earlier and going for shortgetaway to bintan b4 sch starts sounds alluring.. but money money money! I seems to have feud with money. They jus dun seem to b on my side most of the time.

OMG Its already abt 1.5 months into the hols.. Its going tooo fast. Slow down slown down!

Been busy working, having foc meetings, dry runs(2),tuition, meeting up with ppl/frens.. And more ppl to meetup with in the nxt few wks! I'm hardly at home nowadays.. Ok la.. its been rather tiring but so far i'm still sort of enjoying my hols =) Jus tt I need more time!

One of the adverse drug rxn of metoclopramide is ur eyes will roll backwards and ur tongue will stick out.. And this altho abit rare, but its more common with young gers.. so xiao mei meis beware! Joanne was saying nxt time when we ask patient if they are allergic to meto and if she says yes and she will stick out her tongue, we're not suppose to laugh... haha. Interesting ADR.

Seems like mus learn Malay if wan to interact with Malay patients.. today they were like satu err blah blah blah. ok nvm. I only understood satu. Maybe Dua also. But i still wan to take jap!

Have to thank mum for asking me to watch 稀游记 the Ch U documentary abt extraordinary Singaporeans in foreign lands. The episode aroused my interest as it was featuring the life of a medical social worker in kunming, yunnan who mainly visits/counsel ppl who are mentally ill. And she mainly works with 傈僳 (li su) tribe ppl.. which happens to be the same tribe of ppl we interacted with back in my dec yunnan trip.

What she does is indeed admirable and respectable. She doesn't get paid a single cent and have to climb like how many thousand ft and go thru god knows wad kind of treacherous journey just to visit one or 2 mentally ill patient/orphans every week/few days. Compared to the mini hill we climbed up to the leper's village then, which was a one off thing and not a v difficult journey, I really shldn't complain.

Then there was this 26 yr old male patient that they featured, who suffers from schizophrenia. He has been locked up in a wooden fenced up area prob abt 1m x 1m space for 8 yrs. EIGHT YRS. and he hasn't came out since. he has been sitting there for eight years. forgotten how to stand. forgotten how to do aything. Doesn't bathe. Does his business at a corner. CAN U IMAGINE. How can such a thing happen to anyone, to any human? And whats even more shocking and saddening its that when he was locked up there 8 yrs ago he did it willingly as he was too guilty that he set his own house up on fire. As in he JUST SAT THERE and WATCH THE FENCE BUILD UP ARD HIM. 8 YEARS since. 8 YEARs. I'm jus speechless. 心情好沉重. SIGH.

The state of lack of medical knowledge, treatment and misconception of many diseases are just appaling. The idea of a lepers village at the top of a secluded hill away from civilization, and that fence thing are all a result of lack of medical help and knowledge. The people simply jus do not know wad to do with these group of ppl with medical condition, hence they can only think of such saddening and extreme methods to isolate all these patients. Its jus damn saddening. And that medical social worker was saying how she wished that there could be doctors treating them, sufficient meds, rehab and stuff which is near impossible in these poverty stricken rural areas.

I suddenly have the urge to go back to yunnan. But what i can do? bring more trouble to them? Sighz. I'm simply not ready to give everything i've got. We definitely benifited much more from the trip than those ppl we were trying to help.

What can i do from the knowledge of pharmacy? Can I use it to help these ppl? Am i that 伟大 in the 1st place? What do i really wan out of these 4 yrs of pharmacy.

I'm thinking too much. And getting emo. time to sleep. I jus hope that all these ppl get better treatment.

Went to sentosa on sunday. It wasn't crazy kind of fun but it was jus nice..the new attractions weren't exactly fantastic. but sentosa does seem to be a much nicer place.. as in def a lot more details and effort went to make the place more pleasing. flowers blah.. yah u get the idea. guess eventually it was the company n v relaxed mood that mattered more. =)

First day of work... Oh i'm employed by AH after all as pharmacy assistant. At the outpatient pharmacy. Finding my job so mundane and stressful and tiring but time really flies. Its almost no time to rest/slack. Totally felt like a factory worker. My job is to help pack all the prescribed items lo.. requires u to be accurate and fast.. the amount and types of drugs they have is of cox small house see big house compared to my NS days. See until i blur blur^infinity... Made a couple of mistakes but they din scold me la.. but still very paiseh. But I nv get wrong drug or wrong strength at least. Haha self consolation. Its always the quantity. Dunno eh jus can't count properly. Quantities so weird cox 1 strip of tab, some is 14, some is 7, some is 30. den the quanity required is in few hundereds sometimes. like 123? or i did one with 1068 today. Siao one la. Certainly need time to get used to it. But the ppl there are not bad la quite friendly..

Suddenly, the job as a hospital pharmacist(in the hospital pharmacy per se) seems alot less appealing tho they aren't the ones that pack(sometimes they do when short handed), they check thru prescriptions, fill in/key in orders, counter check the stuff we pack, dispense/counsel patients, consult/discuss with doctors/patients over the phone, manage ppl like us....and lotsa of rubbish i haven go find out from them.. Hope to find out more abt their jobscope as time goes by. but there are other pharmacists in the hospital la.. those in the wards..blah still got alot of other areas i guess.

almost blew my brains out jus now.. bout of sneezing started while i was on the bus to marina sq(it went to shenton way instead =( too long nv take 162 beyond city hall) so i popped a panadol flu. Or paracetamol + Pseudoephidrine (generic name i shld start using them more often) haha wadever. den jus now after i showered it came back again so pop goes in another tablet. but now ok le. weird..

Went to k box today. pity we didn't have time for the jin1 qu3 s. All the deng li juns and xiao hu duis were left unsang. And still got alot of new songs i wan to sing.

Changing Appetites dinner with ahnehkins... the food is not bad. but jus rem to go there on tues, fri and sat.. cox tues got 50% off cakes itz? i can't rem. fri n sat got 50% off waffles after 10 pm. So we restaurant hopped to cafe cartel after that.. cox after 9 there's 50% off all cakes. Was talking loads of crap there while gorging(k la not really) and snatching(away from sean) the cakes ard. haha..

tuition marathon tmr! fri sun mon! sian no fate with AH. they called when i was sleeping this morning. who ask me to off phone. but the thing was they jus told me yest they not hiring ppl liao. sianz. i m still jobless.

Oh i finally gotten my phantom of opera cd.. the live recording version of the one at the esplanade. the hmv vouchers came in handy! 30.95 is quite exp after all

And i queued 3 hrs for donut factory. can't believe i persisted. Things u can do when u have so much time after exams eh. Hahaha..

Wad a paper to end with. I actually find this LSM open book mcq paper the hardest of all papers.. so stressful.. and the exam table suddenly seems so small.. my notes nearly flew all over n the txtbk nearly fell off. Nxt in difficulty level - marketing.. 44 marks from 2 essays.. which i scribbled rubbish.. rubbish that would be insufficient even if it was coherent.

Well I shld do better this sem considering i have one less mod to study if not i will kill myself(i hope i dun have to) or get another 'physical pharm' shock(I've a weak heart pls dun let it happen again)

Actually i wonder if it is a gd idea to find a temp job at these hospital pharmacies. that would mean spending all 4 hols of my uni yrs there. But then again there mite ba possibilty that i'll b there evey day after 4 yrs. so wads the big deal? And moreover i'm paid at least 6/hr now. compared to 5 a day during prereg. so tt could b considered a difference? haha. i need money to go hk at the end of the yr anw. MONEY!

And of cox. Camp. Headache. alot of unsettled stuff. But shld b fun i hope.
